Clara LaUna Wheeler

Clara LaUna Wheeler, 88, of Whitesburg, passed away July 15, 2023, at Life Care Center of Morristown.  She was of the Baptist faith.  LaUna was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. 

She was preceded in death  by her parents, Henry and Flora (Short) Hawkins; loving husband, Reverend Henry Wheeler; sister, Marie Bell; brothers, Hilary, Carl, Truman, and Marvin Clay Hawkins.

She is survived by her daughters, Janet (Sonny) Lawson, and Glenda (Bill) Hicks; son, Chris (Vicky) Wheeler; granddaughters, Jill (David) Margelowsky, LaCrista (Michael) Blanton; great-granddaughter, Jana (Wayne) Jones; great-grandson, Donnivan Caldwell; great-great-grandsons, Nick and Tyler Jones; as well as several nieces, nephews and a host of dear friends.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 19, 2023, in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home.  Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Reverend Dannie Bell officiating.  Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 20, 2023, in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
