Cleo Virginia Brady went to be with her Lord on Monday, June 21, 2021, at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. Cleo was born on December 11, 1937, and enjoyed her life immensely. She was an avid member of the Morningside Community in Morristown, Tennessee, where she had resided almost her entire life. Cleo was the owner and operator of Morningside Beauty Salon for over 40 years. She loved to interact with the different people she encountered and hopefully brought a light into their life. She enjoyed her life, especially swinging on her front porch while watching the activity of her neighborhood. She especially loved to play Bingo with the love of her life, her spouse of over 60 years, Richard A. Brady. They had such a beautiful life together and she enjoyed every minute of it.
Cleo was preceded in death by her mother and father, Sam and Flossie Winstead, her brother, Roy Lee Winstead, and her most beloved grandson, Samuel Mackenzie Brady. She is survived by her husband, Richard A. Brady, her son, Richard S. Brady and her daughter-in-law, Marilyn (Muffy) Brady. She is survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins, and special neighbors, who loved her dearly. She is also survived by her extended Ohio family.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 24, 2021, from 5 – 7 p.m., at Allen’s Funeral Home in Morristown, with the funeral immediately following, officiated by the Pastor Joshua Moore. Graveside services will be performed at Hamblen Memory Gardens on Friday, June 25, 2021, at 3 p.m.
