Dana "Sonny" Morgan

Dana “Sonny” Morgan, 80, went to be with the Lord Friday, May 16, 2025.  He was a long-time member of Westview Baptist Church in Morristown.  He retired from Mahle after over 25 years of service.  Sonny loved his church, racing, hunting, fishing, and gardening.  He was a sensible man who had a knack for doing and fixing many things.

Sonny was preceded in death by his parents, Dana and Grace Morgan; and brother David Morgan. 

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Mary Evelyn Morgan; sons Todd (Melanie) Morgan, and Troy Morgan; granddaughters Gabrielle (Bradley) Bacon and Megan Morgan; great grandchildren Miriam, Lemuel, and Odelia; 3 sisters Wanda Harrell, Wilma (Johnny) Graves, and Carolyn White; sister-in-law Kathy (Doug) Rouse; as well as many special friends and numerous nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends 5-7 pm, Monday, May 19, in the east chapel of Allen Funeral Home.  The funeral service will follow at 7 pm with Rev. Dannie Bell and Rev. Aubrey Douglas officiating.  Interment will be 10 am, Tuesday in Hamblen Memory Gardens with Rev. Randy Epps officiating. 

In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Westview Baptist Church, or the Friends of Hospice Serenity House.
