Danny Wayne McGinnis

Danny McGinnis, 68, of Morristown, went to be with the Lord Saturday, September 7, 2024, after a long battle with cancer.  He worked for Lea Industries and Ampad.  Danny loved animals, especially his pet birds and his dog, “B.J.”  He was preceded in death by his parents, James E. McGinnis and Dollie Mae (Diamond) McGinnis Harrell.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Patsy McGinnis; stepdaughter, Tina Carter and stepson, William Carter, both of Virginia; brother, Larry (Connie) McGinnis; niece and nephew, Jennifer McGinnis Tannehill and Michael Jason McGinnis. 

The family would like to express a special thanks to the wonderful staff of Smoky Mountain Home Health and Hospice and Friends of Hospice Serenity House.

The family will receive friends from 6 – 7pm, Wednesday, September 11, 2024, in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home.  A Celebration of Danny’s life will follow at 7pm, with Dr. Kenny Boling officiating.
