David Keller Obituary

David L. Keller, 83, of Morristown, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Sunday, December 31, 2023.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Selma Keller; sister, Jackie Edwards and oldest daughter, Tina Dougherty.

Dave was a foreman for 10 years at Lear Siegler and a key member of the startup crew at W. R. Grace where he retired in 1998.

He was a loving husband, father and grandpa.  Dave never met a stranger and lived his life always helping others.  You could always find him in the kitchen with a towel across his shoulder.  He loved to cook for his family and then clean up all the dishes. He instilled the “Golden Rule” by teaching his kids to always treat others with kindness and love.

Dave is survived by his wife of 65 years, Margaret “Peggy” Keller; children, Jody (Glenn) Vaughn, Jill (Keith) Brauss, Brian Keller, and Julie (Charlie) Jarnagin; son-in-law, Rick Dougherty; grandchildren, Jeremy (Allison) Cox, Wesley (Christina) Vaughn, Bradley (Lindsay) Vaughn, Brent (Amanda) Osgood, Katie (Rusty) Coffey, Matthew Keller, Dominic Keller, and Dakota Keller; great-grandchildren, Noelle (Jake Shamblin) Cox, Ellyse Cox, Maddox, Colton and Graham Vaughn,  Kylie Trojanowski, Mason and Aiden Osgood, Neyland, Koleson and Eason Keller, Christopher and Carsynn Keller and Ella Kate Coffey; sisters, Donna (Joe) Kramer, Carol (Jim) Boyd, Judie Thomas; brothers, Larry Keller and Steve (Lana) Keller.

The Keller family would like to thank UT Home Health, Amedysis Home Health and Amedysis Hospice for their wonderful care.  A special thank you to exceptional caregivers, Kendall Deering, Becky Hatfield and Kim Ramsey for their love and care.
