Debra "Debbie" K. Welch

Debra K. “Debbie” Welch, 70, went to be with the lord at Morristown Hamblen Health Care System, after a long battle with cancer.  She was a long-time member of Bean Station Baptist Temple in Bean Station, TN.  She worked at American Enka from 1973 to 1985 and also worked as a private housekeeper for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Marie Dykes; sisters Wanda Rickett; brothers, Elijah Ward; Richard Ward, Wayne Ward, and Hal Ward.  

Survivors include her husband of 47 years Randy Welch; children, Crystal (Derek Lane) Welch and Nathan Welch; grandson, Noah Lane; sisters, Kathy (David “Tony”)  Wilder; Carolyn (Steve) Carpenter; Brenda (Jerry) Foshie; several nieces and nephews; special friends, “Hoot” and Jenny Gibson; as well as many other dear friends and church family. 

The family will receive friends from 2-4PM, Sunday, March 9, 2025, at Bean Station Baptist Temple.   Funeral services will follow the visitation at 4PM, with Rev. Rodney Ricketts officiating.  Graveside services will be held 11AM, Monday, March 10, 2025, in Historic Bethesda Cemetery.
