Della Mae (Mayes) Langston

Della Mae Langston, 83, went to be with the Lord Monday, September 9, 2019 at the Serenity House.  She was of the Baptist faith.  Della was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Langston; sisters, Pauline Williams, and Myrtle Sammons; brother, Ben Mayes, Jr.; parents, Ben and Mary Mayes.  Della was a seamstress; loved to make quilts and loved the outdoors.

She is survived by her sons, Michael Lee Langston and Roger L. (Denat) Langston; sister, Mary June Foulks; brother, King Mayes; grandchildren, Tabitha Langston, Amy (Phillip) Russell, Pam Malone, Roger (Ashley) Langston; great-grandchildren, Makayla Price, Anna Price, Kaitlyn Price, Bailey Russell, Hunter Langston, Rylan Langston; special friends,  Kim Salazar, Eddie and Charlotte Davidson,  as well as several nieces and nephews.  

The family would like to mention a special thanks to the staffs of UT Hospice, Senior Citizens Home Assistant services and Serenity House for all their genuine care, kindness and support during this difficult time.

Funeral services are planned for 7:00 pm Thursday, September 12, 2019 in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home with Reverend Junior Gardner officiating.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 prior to the service.  Graveside services are planned for 11:00 am Friday, September 13, 2019 in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
