Donald Eugene Dinsmore, Jr., 62, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 22, 2026, after a lingering illness at U.T. Medical Center, surrounded by his family. He was of the Baptist faith, and he was saved at a young age. He retired from the E.R. Carpenter Company after 41 years of service. He loved God, Country, family, and his southern roots.
Donald is preceded in death by his father, Donald Eugene Dinsmore, Sr.; older brother, Harold Eugene Dinsmore; and nephew, Carlie Edward “Eddie” Burch III.
Donald is survived by his mother, Barbara Waddle (Ernest) Cook; daughter, April (Neal) Jones; son, Jason Dinsmore; sisters, Debbie Spellman and Donna (Steven Ramirez) Broughton; nephews, Tony Hunt, David Anderson, and Eric Wolfe; niece, Rachael Williams; several great nieces and nephews; as well as special friends, Wayne Self, Roger Chesney, Billy (Phyllis) Clevenger, Memphis Owens, Dylan Owens, Trevor Owens, Henry Wolfe, and Zach Sisson.
The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 PM, on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 7 PM, with Rev. Wayne Self officiating. Graveside services will be held at 1 PM, on Thursday, February 26, 2026, in Historic Bethesda Cemetery.
