Donna Gayle (Morris) Derry

Donna Gayle Morris Derry, age 76, went to be with the Lord Friday, June 13, 2025.  She was of the Missionary Baptist faith and attended Corner Stone Missionary Baptist Church in Mohawk.  She loved her family dearly.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Ernest Edward Derry “Ernie” ; father, Clarence Morris; mother and father, Martha Virginia and Palmer Shrader; brothers, Curtis Lynn and Jerry Shrader; grandparents, Ira and Blanche Furches and Dudley and Rosa Morris.

Survivors include her son, Ernest Edward “Eddie” Jr (Elizabeth) Derry of Greeneville; daughter, Melissa Widner “Sammy” of Greeneville; grandchildren, Derrick Widner and Alyssa (Alex) LeBlanc of Greeneville; great-grandson, Ethan Widner; brothers, David (Donna) Morris of Whitesburg, and Bill (Margie) Shrader of Morristown; sister, Shirley Louis (Dale) of Bulls Gap; sister, Dianne (B.J.) Cobble of Greeneville; several special nieces and a nephew; three great nieces and three great nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00pm Tuesday, June 17, 2025, in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home.  The funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm with Reverend Frank Long officiating.  Graveside services will be 2:00pm Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Russellville.
