Donna Jo Shockley

Donna Jo Shockley, 79, of Morristown, passed away Friday, October 24, 2025, at the Patricia Neal Rehabilitation Hospital in Knoxville, TN.  She was a faithful member of Alpha Baptist Church for 49 years and member of the Larry Hurst Sunday school class.

Donna was employed for over 30 years as an Administrative Assistant for Employee Benefit Specialists.  One of her fondest memories was being a member of Morristown High School Band when they were invited to play at the Inauguration Ceremony for John F. Kennedy on January 20, 1961.

She was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Hazel and Shelby Vinyard; father and mother-in-law, Jack and Edna Shockley; special aunt, Lena Harmon.

Donna is survived by her husband, Jackie Shockley; daughter, Jennifer (Rick) Sutton; brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Tammy Shockley, as well as many life-long friends.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of Patricia Neal Rehabilitation Center for all the loving care and compassion for Donna and her immediate family.

Funeral services are planned for Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Alpha Baptist Church at 7:00PM with Reverend Heath Smith officiating.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00PM prior to the service.  Graveside services will be held 11:00AM Friday, October 31, 2025, in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
