Dora Woods Tindall

Dora Woods Tindall, 98, of Pasadena, CA, formerly of Whitesburg, TN, passed away, Saturday, Dec 31, 2022.  

As a young adult she worked very hard to help support her family and most notably served as a laboratory technician at the Oak Ridge National Laboratories during WW2.  While working at the Lab she met her first husband, Tom Tindall.  They were married in 1949, and were married 33 years until his death, in 1982.

In 1991 Dora met and married Robert Scott, her husband until she passed.  They had a loving, active life together enjoying church, family gathers, playing golf, and bowling.  She loved to dance.  Even at the age of 95, she was dancing to the Tennessee Waltz at a grandson’s wedding. 

 Dora is preceded in death by son, Johnny Tindall, and first husband, Tom Tindall, her parents and all of her brothers and sisters.  Survivors: husband, Robert Scott of Pasadena, CA, sons, Tom Tindall (Okyo) of NM, Ted Tindall and Tim Tindall of CA, daughter, Teresa Spears (Don) of CO, grandsons, Tommy Tindall (Sue Ellen) of MD, Donald Spears (Shannon) of CO, granddaughters Laura Spears (Eric), Melissa Tindall (Douglas) and Thea Tindall of CA, great grandsons, Chase Tindall of MD, William Burghardt and Elliot Gordon of CA and great granddaughter, Eve Tindall of MD.  The service will be at Allen’s Funeral Home, Morristown, TN on February 18, 2023 at 1pm.
