Dorothy Early Haun 83 of Whitesburg, Tennessee passed away May 2, 2018. She was a 60+ year member of the Rocky Point Baptist Church, Russellville, TN. She previously volunteered & retired from Morristown Hamblen Hospital after many years of service. She was active in her church and a 50+ yr. member of FCEA Club (formerly known as Home Demonstration Club) & she was and member of the Community Club of Whitesburg for many years. She received numerous awards and honors during her years of dedicated services.
A devoted wife and loving mother of many talents: an avid reader, quilter, crochet, cross stitch, sewing, gardening, travelling, and making apple stack cakes and apple butter.
Preceded by her loving husband of 58 years Glenn Talmadge (Tam) Haun; parents, Raymond Early and Mazie Holder Early; brother, James Wesley Early; sister Faye Early (Kenneth) Braxton, and her special aunt and uncle, Mary Holder (Clifford) Fine.
Survivors include Son: Guy Wesley Haun (Earlene) of West Liberty, OH; daughter, Rosa Shiflet (Rick) Kingsport, TN; two grandsons, Matthew Wesley Haun (Genny) of Kenton OH; Andrew Jacob Haun West Liberty, OH.; great-grandsons, Carter Wesley & Rhett Douglas Haun of Kenton, OH.; brother, Dr. Howard (Grace) Early Lakewood, CO; several nieces, nephews, cousins and host of church family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Rocky Point Baptist Church in Russellville prior to the service at 8:00 with Reverend Ross Woody officiating. Graveside services will be 2:30 Sunday, May 6, 2018 in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
