Dorothy Jean (Snowden) Jones

Dorothy Jean Snowden Jones passed away January 12, 2024, surrounded by her family, Dorothy was born on June 13, 1937, in Morristown, Tennessee.  She was a member of Russellville Baptist Church where she attended Sunday School with ladies that she enjoyed many years of friendship and fellowship with. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Jones; parents, William Ralph Snowden and Mary Rush Snowden; sister, Mary Nell Collins; brothers, Jackie Snowden and Kenneth Snowden; and her grandson, Noah Pressley. 

Dorothy is survived by daughters, Leslie (Dan) Murray of Dandridge; Jennifer Pressley (Dave) Tallent of Signal Mountain, TN, Cyndi (Shannon) Jones of Harrison, TN, and Karen (Todd) Trent of Morristown.  

She is also survived by grandchildren, Tyler (Becca)Trent, Jacob Trent, Brock Pressley, Austin (Abby) Pressley, Micah (Baylee) Pressley, Erin Murray, and Ian (Jordan) Murray; great grandchildren, Jace, Jonah, Aleeah, Cianna, and Tilly; several cousins, nieces, and nephews and many friends. 

The family will receive friends 3-5 PM, Sunday, January 14, 2023, in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home.  Funeral services will follow the visitation at 5PM, with Dr. Gene Nelson and Rev. Scott Helton officiating.  Interment will be held in Hamblen Memory Gardens at a later date.
