Dorothy Jean (Myers) McKinney

Dorothy Jean Myers McKinney, 78, passed away at her home January 17, 2021.  She was a member of Midtown Baptist Church.  She also retired from Berkline after 26 years.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, George W. McKinney, Sr; son, George W. McKinney, Jr. and parents Adam and Daisy Myers; brothers, Glen and Ernest Myers; and sister, Margaret Myers Reece.

She is survived by her daughter, Doris McKinney; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a host of friends and wonderful neighbors; special family friend, Susan Ferguson.  Special thanks to Avalon Hospice and the Chemo Unit at Morristown Hamblen Hospital.  Special thanks and love to the Koogler family for all they have done and for their friendship.

The body will lie in repose from 9:00 – 5:00 pm Thursday, January 21, 2021in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home.  Due to COVID-19, there will be a private graveside service in Hamblen Memory Gardens with Johnny Lawson officiating.

Allen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
