Drew W. Franklin

Drew W. Franklin, 83, of Morristown, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2020. He served in the U.S. Army and many years in the National Guard. He drove a truck for commercial freight companies until his retirement. He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Gilliam Franklin; son, Joseph Larry Franklin; brothers, Billy Joe Franklin and Kenneth Edward Franklin. 

He is survived by two grandchildren, Alexander and Elaina Franklin, their mother Andrea Vogel; brothers, Donald Ray Franklin, wife Brenda and Robert Truman Franklin; as well as several nieces and nephews. 

Drew had an abundance of friends and never met a stranger. He formed countless friendships in the many hours he spent at his favorite spot, Carroll’s Grocery. The family would like to thank The Serenity House for their excellent care and kindness given to him.

Military honors and entombment will be 3:00pm Tuesday, June 16, 2020 in the Mausoleum in Hamblen Memory Gardens with Reverend Charlie Brewer officiating. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to: Friends of Hospice/Serenity House; 421 North High Street; Morristown, Tn. 37814.
