Earl Otis Walker, 88, of Whitesburg, passed away on August 3, 2024; just 30 minutes short of his 89th birthday. He was a member, deacon, and past treasurer of First Baptist Church of Whitesburg. Earl retired from NCR after 30 years of service. He was a veteran in the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Patsy (Matney) Walker; parents, Duncan and Nova Walker; sisters, Mable Smith, Margaret Heck, Dorothy Everhart, Helen Pinkston, and Katrina Heck; brothers, James, Edward, Neil and W.K. Walker.
Earl is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Sonya and Charles Courtney; beloved granddaughter, Sydney Courtney; sister and brother-in-law, Callie and D.A. Fannon of Rogersville; sister, Barbara Ramsey of Bulls Gap, along with a host of nieces and nephews.
At Earl’s request, there will only be a graveside service at 1 PM on Thursday, August 8, 2024, in Hamblen Memory Gardens. Reverend Brian Wilson will officiate the service.
