Edd Rich

Edd Rich, 87 of Russellville, TN passed away on December 28 at 9:19am peacefully at his home. Edd was born July 15, 1931 to Leva and J.W. Rich and had five brothers and sisters. Edd was a faithful and loving husband to Ella Jean (Henard) Rich for sixty-seven years. He was a beloved father of Rita (Rich) Hillhouse and Eddie Rich and a wonderful granddaddy.

Edd was a master auto upholsterer and owner of Greeneville Auto Trim and Edd’s Auto Trim.

He loved restoring antique cars and was a charter member of the Volunteer Auto Club. He was

a deacon at Tusculum Baptist Church and a current member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Morristown.

Edd was a member of the Morristown Lodge No. 231, F. & A. M.  Edd was known for his Christ like character, a great listener, compassionate, honest, and always wanting to help others. Edd was generous and possessed a solid work ethic which he passed along to his children. He enjoyed cooking, reading, canning and spending time with his friends and family.

He is survived by his wife Jean Rich; children, Rita Rich (Bill) Hillhouse, Eddie (Nancy) Rich; grandchildren, Mason (Heather) Hillhouse, Brad (Rebecca) Rich and Katy Rich; great-grandchildren Meadow Hillhouse and Chase Rich; brother Coleman Rich.  He leaves behind many special nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 - 7:00 pm Monday, December 31, 2018 in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home with a celebration of life to follow at 7:00 with Reverends Grant Bishop and David Williams officiating. Graveside services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, January 2, 2018 in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
