Edith Ida Mae “Duck” Jarnigan, 71, went to be with the Lord Monday, October 30, 2023, at her home in Morristown. She was a member of Friendsview Missionary Baptist Church in Jefferson City. She was an awesome Mom, Mamaw, and Nana, and will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Ronald E. Jarnigan, Sr.; parents, Bryant LeRoy and Maxine Inez Stansberry; brother, George Stansberry; father and mother-in-law, Robert and Marcella Jarnigan.
Survivors include her children, Connie Adams, Jenny Dickerson; Ronald “Bo” (Robin) Jarnigan; grandchildren, Makayla (Austin Loyd) Griffin, Logan Jarnigan, Kendra (Nick) Cook, Courtney (Kevin) Shull; great grandchildren, Keondre, Jazslyn, Noah, Marnie, Aubrey; Danny (Nancy) Stansberry; Junior (Glenda) Stansberry; Jenny (Tom) Branson; as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family would especially like to thank, Tina Long and Mary Greene for all their care and support.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, Wednesday, November 1, 2023, in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 8 PM, with Rev. Andrew Winstead and Rev. Ricky Witt officiating. Graveside services will be held 11 AM, Thursday, November 2nd, at Freedom Chapel Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Bean Station, TN.
