Evelyn Geretta Combs

Evelyn Geretta Combs, 89, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 19, 2026, in Morristown. She was saved by grace at an early age and truly lived her life for the Lord. She was a member of New Beginnings Missionary Baptist Church of Bean Station. Evelyn was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother who will be dearly missed by many. She loved red roses and eagles. She was employed by C.R. Daniels for many years. Evelyn was over all a great-hearted woman who loved the Lord.

Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Ella Diamond; husband, Dale Combs; son, Terry Wayne Combs; brothers, Randall and Douglas Diamond; and sisters, Loretta McMahan and Brenda McDaniel.

Evelyn is survived by her son, Roger Dale Combs; granddaughter, Kim (Travis) Purkey; four great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; brother, Charles Diamond; sister, Geri Pratt; as well as several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

The family will receive friends from 10 AM – 11 AM, on Saturday, February 21, 2026, in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow the visitation, with Pastor Lindell Welch officiating. Interment will follow the funeral service in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
