Evelyn Margaret (LeBlanc) Merkle

Evelyn Margaret Merkle passed away Monday, September 21, 2020 at the age of 78.
Evelyn was born to the late Donald and Margaret LeBlanc on Sunday, February 22, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan. She attended and graduated from Taylor Center High School. She became a teacher and taught at Howell High School in Howell, Michigan and also at East Ridge Middle School in Whitesburg, Tennessee.

She loved to go dancing with her husband and friends. She also loved to travel and go to the beach. Another favorite pastime was playing bingo and traveling to Las Vegas with her friends. She was a very sweet mother and a friend to everyone she met and will be deeply missed.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; and husband of 56 years, Richard Merkle.

She is survived by her sons, Ken Merkle and Don Merkle; grandchildren, Kennedi Merkle, Devin Merkle, Dustin Merkle, and Leah Merkle; brother, Rick LeBlanc and wife, Joyce; nieces, Nikki Collins, Kim Varga and Pam LeBlanc; and many friends.

A memorial service is planned for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 17, 2020  in the East Chapel of  Allen Funeral Home, Morristown, TN. 37813
