Flossie Lee Parker, 93, of Morristown, passed away Saturday, September 21 at Lifecare of Morristown. She was born January 13, 1931, to Emzy Atley Boyd and Helen Harriet Watson Boyd in Dayton, Ohio. Flossie was a former employee of Laminite Plastics and Anchor Brush. After retirement, she opened her home to keep and love many children while their parents were working.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years Earl M. Parker; her parents; her siblings Louise Hedrick, Inez Devine, Edith VanDyke, Rosemary Hedrick; and her son-in-law Danny Seal. She is survived by her daughters Virginia (Ginny) Goforth of Morristown and Sandra (Sandee) Seal of Parrottsville; grandchildren, Scott (Kim) Goforth and Heather Rippetoe of Morristown and Lea Anne (Aaron) Sisco of Mountain Home, Idado; her great-grandchildren, Rachael (Cory) Sigler, Brooke Harmon, and Nathan Rippetoe, all of Morristown; great-great grandchild Hadley Sigler; siblings Robert Boyd of Maryland and Roberta Keirsey of Ohio, and a host of nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service was held by the immediate family and close friends with the Rev. Danny Lamb officiating.
