Freddie “Fred” Nelson Hopson, 76, went to meet our Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 4, 2024, at UT Hospital. Freddie was a simple man that would do anything for anyone. He never knew a stranger and he was definitely a history buff.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Hobert and Mary Ruth Hopson; and brother-in-law, Robert Musick.
Freddie is survived by his sister, Pat Musick; brother, Buddy (Judy) Hopson; nieces, Renee Deason, Robin (Donnie) Vannoy, and Julie (Jaime) Golden; great-nieces and nephews, Zak (Cheyenne) Deason, Halie (Nick) Montgomery, and Hobie (Kelli) Vannoy; as well as special great-great nieces and nephews, whom he loved so much, Karlee, Rylee, and Rawlee Montgomery, and Eli Vannoy.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 PM on Sunday, July 7, 2024, in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 4PM, with Rev. Odell Davidson officiating. Graveside services will be held at 11 AM, on Monday, July 8th, in Liberty Hill Methodist Church Cemetery.
