Gale Simkins Obituary

Gale Ida Simkins, 88, of Morristown, TN, passed away and joined her husband in heaven on Saturday, June 8, 2024. She was of the Lutheran faith. She loved her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Gale enjoyed traveling, bird watching, crossword puzzles, and loved her dog Louie and cat Sammy. She will be dearly missed by all.

Gale is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Albert John Simkins; parents, Elmer and Ruth Rick; three brothers; and one sister.

She is survived by her daughters, Desiree (Nick) Herzog, Diane (David) Mack, Ruthann (Bob) Ratcliff, Laura (Jeff) Luckes, Carol Perry, Mary (Gage) Burlingame; grandchildren, Brian, Janelle, Joshua, Eric, Lillian, Mark, Elaine, Dean, Jason, Jennifer, Cassondra, Laura, Kevin, Jessica, and Steven; thirteen great-grandchildren; special nephew, Mike Harris; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
