Gary Wayne “Little Head” Pease, 67, went home peacefully on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at UT Medical Center. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who loved his wife, kids, and grandchildren more than anything. He was hardworking, funny, and always loved a practical joke. He was a true outdoorsman who loved hunting and spending time outside whenever he could. Gary was employed by the Hawkins County Highway Department for many years. He will be deeply missed but greatly remembered by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William Pease and Virginia Whitehead, and his brother, Steve Pease.
Gary is survived by his loving wife, Donna Pease; son, Eric (Christy) Pease; daughters, Heather (Matt) Rines and Jennifer Pease; sisters, Gloria (Jared) Hurst and Connie Pease; grandchildren, Kayden, Addy, Jazzy, Kylie, Harper, Aviahana; and special friend, David Lakins.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Hawkins County Highway Department for their support.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM, on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 1:30 PM, with Bryan Robinson officiating. Interment will follow the funeral service at 2 PM, in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
