Geraldine (Self) Jinks, 80, of Mooresburg, went to be with the Lord on Sunday May 21, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family. She was employed at Magnavox in Morristown until its closing, and she retired from Howmet. She made a profession of faith and was of the Baptist faith. She was famous for her chocolate pies and loved spending time with her granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Jimmy L. Jinks; parents, Roy and Bessie Self; brother, LeRoy (Jane) Self; infant sister, Carolyn Jean Self; brothers-in-law, Danny Hicks, Dwight “Jug” Jinks, and Roger Jinks; sisters-in-law, Dottie and Molly Jinks.
Survivors include her children, Brian Keith (Dan Sanpietro) Jinks, Gregory Jinks, Sharon (Bill) Dalton; granddaughters, whom she affectionately called her “angel babies”, Mariah and Lanie Dalton; precious dog, JoJo; brothers and sisters; Diane (David) Sawyer, Sandra Hicks, and Ronnie (Marilyn) Self; as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 pm Wednesday, May 24, 2023, in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm with Reverends Gary Lawson and Scott Howerton officiating. Graveside services will be at 1:00 pm Thursday, May 25, 2023, at Hamblen Memory Gardens.
