Gladys Myers Ferguson, 84, of Morristown passed away peacefully Sunday, April 28, 2019 after a lingering illness. She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Lon “LT” Ferguson; sisters, Hazel Beeler, Lou Claborn, and Dora Trent of Morristown; Dent Wolfe of Treadway; infant sister, Verdie Mae Myers; and two brothers, Dock Kermit Myers, of Russellville and Cass Myers of Thorn Hill, Tn.
She was a member of Liberty Hill United Methodist Church where she was a very devoted steward to anyone who needed a helping hand. Gladys was happiest when she was doing for others. Gladys was loved by everyone who knew her and will be missed by many. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff and especially the nurses at The Heritage Center for the wonderful care and compassion shown to Gladys over the last six years.
She is survived by her brother; Sam Myers, of Morristown, whom she loved dearly; two sisters-in-law, Barbara Shockley of Morristown and Sharon Davis of Talbott; several other family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 pm Wednesday, May 1, 2019 in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home prior to the Graveside service at 2:30 in Hamblen Memory Gardens with Reverend Gene Nelson officiating.
