Glena Lee Creech Anderson, 101, passed from this earth on November 10, 2021.
Born in Whitesburg, TN, to Howard and Pearl Creech, Glena “Ben” was the third of five children. After marrying Nathan Anderson of Russellville, TN, in 1945, they established their home in Miami, FL, residing there for 55 years. She and Nathan relocated to Greer, SC, in 2000. Raising her two sons, Ray and Jerry, was the joy of her life. Glena also had a vibrant social life. She and Nathan participated in square dancing, camping with the Good Sam Club, and frequent dinner parties with friends and family. She was a talented seamstress and quilter who shared her creations with her loved ones. Most notably, she was an extremely generous woman who gave away most of her earthly goods. She truly lived out Jesus’ command to “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
Glena is survived by her son, Ray Anderson (Mary) of Greer, SC; granddaughter, Lisa Workman (Rob) of Greenville, SC; granddaughter, Jenny Liebler (Matt) of Charlotte, NC; grandson, Scott Anderson (Ashley) of Augusta, GA; and eight great grandchildren.
Glena was preceded in death by her husband Nathan, her son Jerry, her parents Howard and Pearl Creech, her brother Howard Creech, Jr., her sister Margaret Creech Sprey, Flora “Ann” Creech Finn, and Dora Jean Creech Thomason.
There will be a service at Allen Funeral Home in Morristown, Tennessee, on Monday, November 15th at 11 AM. with internment to follow at Creech’s Chapel Cemetery in Whitesburg, Tennessee.
