Gregory Scott Gilley, 63, passed away Friday, December 6, 2024 in Mooresburg, Tennessee. Born on December 10, 1960 in Lee County, Virginia, Greg was a hard-working family man who was always known for being able to put a smile on everyone’s face. To know Greg was to love him. He especially enjoyed spending time and “cutting-up” with family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Paul Gilley; his Aunt Mary and his Aunt Gladys; and, his dear friends, Danny “Bugs” Newman and Mike “Pig” McGinnis.
He is survived by his son, Austin Gilley; daughters, Alisha Humbert, Ashley Gilley (Anthony Blair), and Amy (Richard) Shiflet; brother, Mike “Bones” Gilley; uncle, Jackie (Carolyn) Gilley; close friends, Dan (Karen) Bowlin and Bill (Diane) Greene; and four grandchildren, Ayden, Adyson, Jazlin and Brayton; special granddaughter, Riley Shiflet.
Memorial Services will be Monday, December 9, at 1:00 PM at Fairview Bible Baptist Church in Morristown with the Reverend Tommy Webb officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 – 1:00 PM prior to the services.
