Harry Webster Frizzell, 73, of Whitesburg, passed on to his heavenly home Wednesday, December 9, 2020 after a battle with lung cancer.
He was born in Mount Airy, MD on April 9, 1947 to the late Horace and Violet Frizzell. He was married to Diane Helton Frizzell on May 11, 1969.
Harry worked in the Comptroller’s office at National Institute of Standards and Technology in Gaithersburg, MD until his retiring in 2002 and relocating to Tennessee. He served in the US Army from 1967 – 1970. He was an active member of Russellville Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Diane Frizzell; three children, Kevin Frizzell (Tiffany) of Westminster, MD; Craig Frizzell (Amy) of Fairview, NC; and Angie Armand (Russ) of Ventress, LA; twelve grandchildren; sister, Louise Smith of Union Bridge, MD and foster brother Jim Rice of Theodore, AL; special in-laws, Charlotte and Ed Hawkins as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 pm Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Russellville Baptist Church prior to the service at 4:00 pm with Reverend Gene Nelson officiating. Military honors and graveside services will be held 3:30pm Sunday, December 13, 2020 in Hamblen Memory Gardens. For those attending services, facial coverings are required, and social distancing expected.
