Holly Ann Newberry, 58, of Whitesburg, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, September 15, 2024, after a brief battle with brain cancer. She was a member of Magnolia Independent Freewill Baptist Church in Rogersville, TN. She was employed by Summers and Taylor in Johnson City, TN.
She was preceded in death by her father, Herbert Edward Byrum; grandparents, Ernest and Mary Byrum, John Bible and Tinnie Whitt, and father-in-law, Gene Manis.
Holly is survived by her husband of 27 years, David Newberry; mother, Marion C. Byrum; mother-in-law, Joyce Manis; sister, Sunday (Michael) Reeves; brothers, Scott (Carol) Byrum, Chris (Sue) Byrum; nieces, Stacy Gibson, Amy Gorman, Kaitlyn (Jordan) McGregor; nephews, John (Kenzie) Reeves, Reed (Marisa) Byrum, Daniel Byrum; great nephews, Cole Gibson, Cooper Reeves, Jack Reeves; great nieces, Alyssa (David) Musick, and Madison McGregor; great-great niece, Oakley Gibson, and brother-in-law, Danny Newberry; as well as several other friends and family members.
The family will receive friends from 5 – 7pm Thursday, September 19, 2024, in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7pm with Reverend Jerry Bussell officiating. Graveside services will be 12 noon, Friday, September 20, 2024, in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
