Howard H. Estes, Sr., 91, of Whitesburg, passed away Friday, December 26, 2025, at the Serenity House in Morristown. He was a barber and farmer for over 70 years and was a 50-year member of Kyle Lodge #422 F&AM. He was of the Baptist faith and attended Rocky Point Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, of 43 years, Juanita K. Estes; parents, Cecil and Roedna Estes; sisters, Peggy Haun, Wilma Hurley, and Charlsie Burdine; and brother Paul Estes.
Survivors include his sons, Houston (Dondi) Estes and Clinton (Kelly) Estes; grandchildren, Drew (Tutti), Kaysee (Sam), Storm (Whitney), Jarrid (Anna), Dorian (Matt); and eight great grandchildren.
The family would especially like to thank Howard’s caregiver, Denita Younce; as well as the nurses, doctors and staff of Smoky Mountain Home Health & Hospice and the Serenity House.
The family will receive friends from 12-2PM, Tuesday, December 30, 2025, in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home. A procession to Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church will follow the visitation for Graveside services with Rev. Dannie Bell officiating.
