Ivan "Wade" Carpenter

Ivan Wade Carpenter, 82, of Mooresburg, TN, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at 3:33 AM, at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System.

Ivan was a loving and Godly husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He loved God and lived by His word. He was a deacon in his home church and held that position for many years in high regard. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was also a retiree of Roadway Express and loved his Roadway family.

Ivan was preceded in death by his parents, Adam Ance and Nora Madge Carpenter; his brothers, Jack Carpenter and Gale Carpenter; his sister, Faye Moore; and great-grandson, Nathan Talley. 

Ivan is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Helen Carpenter; daughters, Pam Carpenter of Morristown and Amy (Rodney) Riddlebarger of Morristown; three granddaughters, Amber Greene, Destiny Phifer, Ashley Windebank; six great-grandchildren, Aleena, Kyler, Kinsley, Bentley, Jackson, and Silas; brother, Glen (Linda) Carpenter of Mooresburg; sisters, Ruth Bowlin of Mooresburg and Ann (Jack) Phillips of Greeneville; a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends; and beloved fur babies, Tim, Zoe, and LuLu.

The family would like to thank the staff and nurses of Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System for their loving care of Ivan in his final days.

Ivan's final wishes were to be cremated and no funeral services. A private service for immediate family will be held at a later date.
