Jack David Collins, age 62, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Turkey Creek Medical Center in Knoxville. He was a loving husband, daddy, papaw, and friend to all who knew him. He loved to share his faith and love for Jesus with everyone he met. He was saved at the age of 11, was currently a faithful member of Russellville Baptist Church, and had great love for First Baptist Church of Bean Station and Cherokee Heights Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren, building, woodwork, singing, sports, coaching young children, and was an avid lover of the concession stand.
He was preceded in death by parents, Eugene Ed Collins and Mary Esther Susong Collins; brothers Virgil Wayne Collins, and Joe Howard Collins; sister Betty Lois Collins Lambe; neice Rebecca Susanne Collins and a number of in-laws whom he loved dearly.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years Mozell “Mo” Collins, children Derrick Brannon Collins (Christy) and Tiffany Machelle Collins Webb (Daniel); Brothers Steve Edward Collins (Jean) and Harry Lynn Collins (Sarah); sister-in-law Ann Collins; brother-in-law and great friend Tracy Lambe grandchildren Jayden Webb, Mackenzie Collins, Addi Webb, Macie Collins and “Little” Jack Webb; and a number of in-laws, nieces, nephews and dear friends that he loved very much.
The family will have a private service on Thursday, January 7, 2021, at Allen Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. followed by a public graveside service at 12:00 p.m. (noon) at Emma Jarnagin Cemetery in Morristown. Rev. Gene Nelson, Rev. Ken Cole and Rev. Derek Drummonds will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family asked that donations be made to the Russellville Baptist Church Playground Fund at P.O. Box 175, Russellville, TN 37860.
