Jackie Wilson

Jackie C. Wilson of Morristown, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 25, 2022.  He retired from H. T. Hackney and was a long-time active member of First Christian Church in Morristown.  Jackie served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict earning the rank of sergeant.  While serving, he graduated from the U. S. Army Non-Commissioned Officers Academy and was a Bronze Star recipient.  He was also a long-time member of the Morristown Veterans of Foreign Wars.  He enjoyed hunting, gardening, spending time with his family and drinking coffee.  

He was preceded in death by his parents, James F. and Hazel Juanita Wilson; a brother, Jimmy Wilson; a sister, Patti Breeden; and his brother-in-law’s, Charles Blakeley and Gerald Breeden.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Elizabeth Louise Wilson; a son, Shane (Misty) Wilson; a daughter, Linsey (John) Foland, grandchildren, Mason (Brittany) Wilson; Raean Wilson, Raven Solis, John Li Foland, Libby Foland; special godson, Chris Yeary; sisters, Phyllis (John) Ricker and Pam Blakeley; sisters-in-law, Mary Leila Wilson and Phyllis (Joe Gass) Potter; and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and special friends. 

Funeral Services will be 4:00 PM Sunday, May 29, 2022, at First Christian Church with Rev. J. R. Hengehold officiating.  The family will receive friends 2:00-4:00 PM prior to the Funeral Service.  Interment will be 11:00 AM Tuesday morning, May 31, 2022, in Hamblen Memory Gardens with military honors.
