James Ayers, 69, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at Morristown Hamblen Healthcare System. He was retired from Volunteer Fabricators in Bean Station after 32 years of service. James was a veteran, having served in the United States Army. He loved spending time with his family and helping other people.
James is preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Corena Ayers; brother, Dillard Ayers and Kenneth Ayers. Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Renee’ Ayers; daughters, Sherry (Steven) Carroll, Emmley (Joey) Cole, and Melanie McClanahan; grandchildren, Jason (Cassandra) Carroll, Jonathan (Krystal) Carroll; Austin (Annie) Crawford, Candiace (Kenneth) Winstead; great-grandchildren, Gracelyn and Rielyn Carroll, Brantley Carroll, Noah Wilson, Sophia Harp, Phoenix Winstead, Elizabella Crawford; sisters, Opal (Stanley) Short, Linda Ayers, Lisa Smallwood; a brother, C.T. Ayers, as well as several nieces and nephews. Special friends, Eric Collins and Frank Allen.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the nurses and staff of St. Davita Dialysis Center.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3 PM, on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at the Bean Station Worship Center, with Pastor Frank Allen officiating.
