James Clay “Jamie” Walker, 64, of Whitesburg, passed away peacefully at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville November 29, 2025. Jamie was a funny, talented, and caring father, partner and family member. For over 40 years he was a singer, songwriter, and recording artist who entertained all over the south.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Betty James Walker, and brother, George Walker Jr.
He is survived by his friend and partner, Tammy Evans; daughters, Rachel Walker and Mary (Ethen) Latham; sisters, Pamela (Danny) Helton and Deborah Evans; grandson, Alexander Marcum and granddaughter, Freya Woodby; and many other friends and family members.
A Celebration of Life will be held with his bandmembers at 7:00 PM on Thursday, December 4 at the Morristown VFW Post 5266.
