James Carroll Galloway, 86, of Bean Station, went to be with the Lord Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Morristown Hamblen Healthcare System after a brief illness.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Cora Galloway; and mother of his children, Pearl G. Eleam.
James is survived by his children, Elaine (Grover) Holt, Kathy (Kenneth) Brown, Linda (Steve) Hixon, and Billy (Sandy) Galloway; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren(with another on the way); two great-great grandchildren; three sisters; Opal Bowlin, Ruth Wells, and Brenda McCarroll; several nieces and nephews and his “little buddy” Benjamin.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 pm Monday, June 10, 2024, in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow with Rev. Scott Howerton and Rev. Bill Johnson officiating. Graveside services will be 10:00 am Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at Historic Bethesda Cemetery.
