James Arthur Harris

James Arthur Harris, 75, of Wellford, S.C., passed away Saturday, March 2, 2024, at his home surrounded by family, after an extended illness. He was a very kind and generous person who loved the outdoors, especially fishing and camping. James will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He was a hard worker and installed carpet for most of his life.

James is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Oliver and Sallie Ann Harris, and brother, Gary Harris.

Survivors include his daughters, Melissa Gause, Tracia (Randy) Pressley, Jimmie (John) Lane; grandchildren, Brandon Gause, Jacob Gause, Jaiden Lane, Jace Lane, Taylor Pressley, Jayla Lane, and Jax Lane; great-grandchildren, Elah Gause, Marley Gause, and Abel Gause; as well as several nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.

The family will receive friends from 11 AM-1 PM, Saturday, March 9, 2024, in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow the visitation at 1 PM, with Rev. Dannie Bell officiating. Interment to follow at Davis Cemetery in Morristown, TN.
