James Burton "JB" Lakins

James Burton (JB) Lakins, 52, of Morristown, passed away suddenly Monday, November 8, 2021, at Morristown Hamblen Healthcare System.  He was of the Baptist faith.  JB enjoyed camping and fishing.  He was preceded in death by his father, Robert L. (RL) Lakins; grandparents, James and Omega Noe and Burton and Irene Lakins.

He is survived by his children, Ashley Spence and James Lee Lakins; mother, Peggy Lovin; step-mother, Wanda Lakins; brothers, Anthony Lakins (Sherrie Myatt), Stephen Lakins; and sister, Haley Lovin; and special friend of 13 years, Amanda Shafer, and her children.  JB was loved and will be greatly missed by many other friends, family, and extended family.  

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 pm Wednesday, November 10, 2021, in the East chapel of Allen Funeral Home prior to the service at 7:00 with Reverend Scott Noe officiating. Graveside services are planned for 3:00 pm Thursday, November 11, 2021, in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.
