James Richard Louthan, 82, of Morristown, passed away Saturday, November 13, 2021, at Regency Retirement Village. He served for over 20 years in the United States Navy and retired as Senior Chief Petty Officer. Richard was raised in the Ohio Soldiers and Sailors Orphanage in Xenia, OH, and was an active member for the organization throughout his life. He enjoyed sailing when he was younger and loved practicing/teaching Tai Chi in his later years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Franklin and Mary Isabelle Louthan and sisters, Patricia Ann Louthan Kester and Marilyn May Louthan MacPherson.
Survivors include his children, Rosalie Perez, Analie Gozum, Terri Lee Riddick and James Richard Louthan, Jr.; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Burnett and brother, Jack Louthan; and loving friends Deb & Kurt Balint and Terry Wagenhals.
