James Daniel “Boone” Hickey, 80, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2024, at his home with his family by his side. He was known for his jokes and special laughs. You never knew what he was going to say or do. James was well known at I-81 Flea Market and 1st Monday Stock Day. He was retired from GE.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Mabel Hickey; brothers, Charles “Chicken” Hickey and Coy Hickey; sister and brother-in-law, Edna and Gerald Hill; nephews, Joe and Mark Hill; and niece, Geraldine Styles.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Dora (Johnson) Hickey; son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Rita Hickey; one granddaughter, his pride and joy, Amber “Punkin” Hickey; sister-in-law’s, Wilma Hickey, Carolyn Hickey, and Maggie Jacobi; special niece, Loretta Han; several other nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

Per his request, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Allen Funeral Home for his final expenses.
The family will receive friends from 5 PM – 7PM on Sunday, April 14, 2024, in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Monday, April 15, 2024, in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home with Brother Garland Sargent, Brian Southerland, and Kenny Davis officiating. Graveside service to follow the funeral service in Hamblen Memory Gardens and Mausoleum.
