Jane (Jackson) Hunt

Jane Jackson Hunt, of Oakley, UT, passed away peacefully on her 93rd birthday, April 19, 2023.  Jane’s long career was in education.  She worked in multiple roles at various institutions but her most rewarding position was Director of Student Programs with the University of Utah School of Medicine.  She retired from the University of Utah in 1992 after 24 years of service.  Her passion was supporting medical students in successfully achieving their educational goals.  She often referenced, “working in the Dean’s office was the best thing I ever did.”

Jane had many interests which included playing bridge, reading, gardening and traveling.  After retiring, she and her husband moved from Salt Lake City to Oakley where she continued her interests along with raising llamas and caring for her beloved cats.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Agnes Jackson, and a sister, Patsy Jackson Walsh.  She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Robin Hunt and three nieces; Trish Walsh Davidson (Lane) of Minden, LA, Cindy Walsh Viers (Kenny) of Dublin, VA and Alice Walsh Taylor (Sammie) of Russellville, TN.
