Janet Marie (Owens) Clevenger

Janet “Jan” Owens Clevenger, age 54, of Morristown, went home to her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 29, 2025. She was a loving wife, mother, and daughter who will be dearly missed by all. Jan was an employee of Ian’s Market. She was member of Greene’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her sons, Allen Dale and William “Willie” Dale; mother, Mary Nash Bentley; and stepfather, Roger Dale Bentley.

She is survived by her husband, Elvis Clevenger; son, James Susong (Christian); father, James Owens of Middlesboro, Ky.; sister, Jequitta Owens; brother, Matt Owens of Grainger County, Tn.; stepchildren, Chasity Hutsell and Christopher “Chris” Clevenger (Robin); step grandchildren, Emma and Alexia Hutsell, Finn Clevenger, Natalie, and Cody Watson; as well as several nephews, sisters and brothers-in-law.

The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 PM, Thursday, February 6, 2025, in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 7 PM, with Rev. Jack Greene officiating. Graveside services will be held at 11 AM, Friday, February 7, 2025, in Wright Cemetery of Mohawk.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Allen Funeral Home to assist with funeral costs.
