Janice Ruth Lowery

On August 1, 2025, Janice Ruth Lindsey (Lowery) went home with the Lord after a hard-fought battle with her earthly body.  If you ever had the pleasure of meeting Janice, you know she was a mom and mamaw to everyone she met.  Her family was her life.  She was a faithful member of Peace Freewill Baptist Church and loved her church family dearly. 

Janice was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Vina Frost; husband, Delmar W. Lindsey; brother, Robert Frost; sister, Dorothy Roaden; nieces, Regina Tye, Lisa Hensley, Becky Steifel and Angel Doud; nephew, Ronnie Dennison; and two precious babies not meant for this world.  

Janice is survived by daughters, Tracy (Luis) Rodriguez and Selena (Dax) Anderson; sisters, Margaret Greene, Peggy (Bill) Johnson, Freda Grooms, Kathy (Roger) Rich, and Sheila Atkins; and brother; Mike Frost.  The lights of her life, grandchildren, Daniel Roach, Brittany (Tyler)  Hampton, Matthew (Samantha) Roach, Samantha Anderson and DJ (Allie) Anderson; great-grandchildren, Marcee Roach, Landyn, Edyn, Branstyn, and Fallyn Roach, precious baby Hampton on the way; several nieces and nephews; and very special family friend, Jamie Roach.

The family would like to thank Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System Fourth Floor Staff, the CCU Staff, Dr. Campbell and RN Hunter Crumpley for doing all they could for Janice and her family.

Services for Janice will be held  Monday, August 4, 2025, 7:00 pm in the East chapel of Allen Funeral Home with the Rev. Sonny Thomas and Rev. Shannon Atkins officiating.  The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 prior to the service.  Interment will be held Tuesday, August 5, 2025, 10:00 am at Bent Creek Cemetery in Whitesburg.
