Jeffrey Scott McGlothin

Jeffrey “Scott” McGlothin, age 56, of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away on October 3, 2025. He was born on December 28, 1968, to Lewis and Mary Jane McGlothin. He was a member of First Baptist Church Morristown.

Scott was preceded in death by his father, Lewis McGlothin, and his grandparents, Raymond and Sara McGlothin and Roy and Evia Heath. He is survived by his devoted mother, Mary Jane McGlothin; brothers Chris (April) McGlothin and Brent (Olivia) McGlothin; and his nieces Kaitlyn and Kamryn McGlothin.

Scott was blessed with lifelong friends who were like family to him: John Surber, Steve and Charles West, Dwayne Jones, and Glenn Arrington. His family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to his nurse practitioner, Jenny Glenn, along with the ICU and trauma team at Tennova Turkey Creek, for their compassionate care.

Scott will be remembered for his big heart, his loyalty, and the love he shared with his family and friends.

The family will honor Scott’s life in a private ceremony.
