Jerry Dale Burton, Sr. of Morristown, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Morristown Hamblen Healthcare System after a long battle with kidney disease.
He is preceded in death by his father, Billy Burton; brothers, Billy Wayne, Joseph and Donald Burton; sister, Alice Faye Burton and special nephew, Scotty Hall.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Michelle Burton; sons, Jerry Burton, Jr.; Billy Joe (Jennifer) Lewis, and Sexton Lewis; daughter, Whitley McClain; two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Christopher Lewis; mother, Rosie Burton; sisters, Janie Hall, Trivia Kirkland and Brenda Pevihouse; brothers, Bobby, Tony and Timothy Burton; brothers-in-law, Billy McClain, Danny Hall, and Joe Pevihouse; sister-in-law, Kim Mitchell; nieces, Toni, Briana, Ambra and Erika; nephews, Greg, Bryson and special nephew, Daniel Hall; special cousin, Butch Cunningham.
A Celebration of Life service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Bean Station Church of God with Reverend Mike Hatley officiating.
