Jerry Glenn Lane

Jerry Glenn Lane, age 75, passed away on Monday, June 12, 2023, after a long battle with cancer.  He was an active member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church.  He was retired from the U.S. Postal Service, and he proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Air Force.  Jerry was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 59.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Zelma Lane of Dandridge, and his son Darrell Lane.

Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Karen Cole Lane; son Christopher Lane; daughter Katelyn Lane; sister Edna Samples; brothers Larry (Gina) Lane, Clyde Lane, and Jack (Theresa) Lane; grandchildren Crystal, Chase, Elizabeth, and John Lane; great grandson Braelyn Lane; several nieces, cousins, and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends 4-7 pm Thursday, June 15, in the east chapel of Allen Funeral Home.  Funeral services will follow at 7 pm with Lance Cummings and Dennis Johnson officiating.  Graveside service will be 11 am Friday, June 16, in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
