Jim W. Medley

Jim W. Medley, 79, passed away Friday, January 16, 2026, at Friends of Hospice Serenity House.  He served in the US Army, was a veteran of the Vietnam War, and retired from Foust Metals after over 40 years of service. He loved to golf. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Angere Medley, and a son, Joshua Medley.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Marilyn Medley; children, Erin (John) Alexander and Rachel (Paul) Abbott of Dublin, CA; grandchildren, Christopher, Lindsey, Trevor, and Kendall; sister, Barbara Medley; nephew Scott Clark; sister-in-law, Sandy (Kyle) Underwood; special friend Brett Moffitt.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Serenity House and Smoky Mountain Home Health and Hospice.

The family will hold private services, and interment will be in East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Friends of Hospice Serenity House; 421 North High Street; Morristown, TN.  37814, or a charity of one’s choice.
