Jimmie C. “Big Jim” Lowery, 78, of Russellville, went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 30, 2022, at Tennova Select Hospital in Knoxville. He was a member of Fernwood Baptist Church and attended New Hope Gospel Church. He was a U S Army Veteran, serving in Germany. He was the owner of S & J Machine Shop for 50 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Rana Coffey Lowery; and brother, Terry Lynn Lowery.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sue Lowery; brothers, C.W. (Charlene) Lowery, and Joe Rose; nieces C.J. Cox, Holly Dickerson, Donna Smith, and Pat Rickman; nephew, Jack Rickman.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 Thursday, June 2, 2022, in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home prior to the service at 8:00pm with Pastor Lee Erving officiating. Graveside services are planned for 11:00 am Friday, June 3, 2022, in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
