John Diccie "J.D." West

John Diccie “J.D.” West, 80, went to be with the Lord, June 28, 2023.  He was a lifelong Mason.  He was preceded in death by his parents, John Lewis and Hazel Diccie West; daughter, Sandra Couch; brother, Paul Woodrow Weaver, and Charles Gene Biddle; sister, Patsy Williams; longtime companion, Judith Drinnon, and special friend, Don Hadrick.

Survivors include his children, Loria (Bill) Couch, John Glen West, Joyce Long, Connie (David) Collins, Roberta West; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Delta Bowlin, Betty Alishi; brother, Woody (Janie) Proffitt, and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 2:00 pm  Saturday, July 1, 2023, in the East chapel of Allen Funeral Home.  The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm with Reverend Randy Morgan officiating.  Interment will follow in Historic Bethesda Cemetery.
